A three-day photographic tribute to Lake Kerkini. Against the background of the winter colors of the lake but also the freshly snow-capped peaks of Mount Belles, the fishermen of the area (people and birds!) Will give us impressive images.

Kerkini is one of the 10 Wetlands of International Importance in Greece (also known as Ramsar Wetlands). The lake was created in 1932 with the construction of a dam on the river Strymova near the village of Lithotopos and the construction of embankments to the east and west. The purpose of the creation of the lake was the restraint and restraint of the floodplains of Strymova, the restraint of the carrying materials and the irrigation of the plain of Serres. In the place that was created, there was a small lake and swamps (permanent and temporary). During the three days we will approach the life of the lake both from the land and from the water by boats, so that we have the opportunity to photograph the rich fauna of the area in ideal lighting and location conditions. On Friday we will dedicate time to photographic preparation, with tips and guidance from Canon Photographer Babis Giritziotis, and we will have the opportunity to learn more details about the birdlife we will photograph, by birdwatcher and photographer Kyriakos Economidis.
